ebooks offer discounts on some books from India’s largest bookseller.
ebooks at capstone ebooks have recently started offering discounts on certain titles from Capstone eBooks, a bookseller in Pune, New India.
The company has been selling ebooks from Amazon and Barnes & Noble since March last year.
In addition, they have also launched a similar initiative in several other Indian cities, with the aim of helping book buyers to get the books they want at reasonable prices.
Capstone has been in business for more than a decade, but it has recently opened its doors in Pampore and Lucknow, as well as in Bengaluru, Jaipur and Ahmedabad.
“In terms of ebooks, we offer discounts of Rs 1.50 to Rs 1 and 20 per cent on eBooks of 50,000-plus copies,” says Anupam Srinivas, vice-president, product management, Capstone.
“For books with up to 2,000 copies, we are offering discounts of between Rs 3-4 per book.
For books with 2,500 copies, the discount is only Rs 1 per copy.”
Capstone’s eBooks program has been launched in cities like Jaipurs and Ahmedabs and in a handful of towns and cities across India.
This means that, for example, a Rs 1,000 book priced at Rs 3,000 from Jaipuria and Rs 1 from Ahmedabad are available for Rs 1 to Rs 2 per copy.
A Rs 1 book priced from Jaipalpur and Jaipura at Rs 1 each can be had for Rs 3 to Rs 5 per copy from Cap-stone, the company says.
Cap-steems online stores are also offering discounts.
“We are offering Rs 10 for Rs 50 and Rs 25 for Rs 100 on e-books at Capstone,” Srinivs says.
“This is the first time we have introduced such a special offer, where we are trying to bring out a more competitive product.”
